Martha W. Barnwell

Martha Barnwell is the Regional Vice President for Progress Energy Florida. She began her career with Carolina Power & Light, now Progress Energy, in 1983, and has held several leadership positions in the company and has led various merger initiatives in her 35 year career.

Ms. Barnwell has served on a variety of boards in the past and is currently on the Executive Committee and Board of the Ocala/Marion County Economic Development Corporation, the President's Community Council of the Central Florida Community College, Munroe Regional Medical Center's Corporate Advisory Board, and is a Special Appointee to the University of Florida Corporate/Foundation Advisory Council.

A 1984 Meredith College graduate, Ms. Barnwell holds a B.S. degree in Business Management. Martha is active in her church, and she and her husband, Ron, have one daughter.
